Organization Design and Process Review – Travel Agency
Vision Skill was invited to review the organization structure, internal processes of each department, the performance management system and compensation and benefits system for the company. The ultimate goal is to enhance internal cooperation, customer response and business efficiency.
Deliverables
Specific consultancy service delivered included:
- Proposed an organization structure that will enhance cooperation between departments and support business and customers’ needs
- Key internal processes of each department were reviewed, re-engineered and documented with compliance to ISO9001 standard
- Proposed appropriate job descriptions and work instructions for key positions and processes
- A new performance management system is designed to focus on measurement of Key Performance Indicators and individual competence
- Delivered management training to Directors, Department Heads and key staff with respect to the appropriate skill sets required for the new organization and performance management system
Involvement of Vision Skill
- Analysed the current organization structure
- In-depth interviews conducted with Directors and Department Heads to understand the key internal processes and proposed improvement areas for efficiency enhancement
- Job descriptions and work instructions of key positions were reviewed and documented
- Walked through the documented processes with departments
- Designed and delivered management training workshops for Directors, Department Heads and key staff
- Assisted the staff who had attended the management training workshops to develop their self- development plan and followed up by HR Department
- Conducted post-training evaluation
Outcomes
New organization structure, new performance management system and revised work processes were adopted by the Client. Vision Skill facilitated the Client to adapt to the new organization structure and performance management system through training.
